Saint John's McKendrick Hall
As the lead designer for Saint John’s University Athletics, I oversee the design and production of all game day materials, including programs, season posters, and pocket schedules for every sport. Johnnie Athletics—especially Johnnie Football—holds a legendary place in central Minnesota sports culture, and my role helps uphold that tradition through cohesive, high-quality design.

Project Overview :
McKendrick Hall serves as the primary gameday entrance for Saint John's University Athletics, welcoming fans as they arrive for football and basketball events. The space had long featured plain white walls that showed wear easily and did little to reflect the energy, pride, or tradition of Johnnie Athletics.
This project reimagined McKendrick Hall as a bold, high-impact fan environment — one that builds excitement and reinforces school identity from the moment visitors walk through the door. Working directly with the SJU Athletic Director, I translated his vision into a cohesive design solution that honored the program's legacy while creating something fresh and unmistakably SJU.
The Work :
The transformation was built around SJU's signature red, executed through a combination of paint and custom vinyl to create a vibrant, immersive atmosphere throughout the space.
Two large-scale collage installations anchor the ticket booth and trophy case walls, celebrating the legacy of SJU Athletics through historic athletes, iconic program moments, and the fans who have been part of the story. Additional vinyl decal walls were designed to energize both athletes and supporters, reinforcing the pride and identity of the SJU athletic community.
To elevate the space further, two large backlit LED signs were installed, adding visual presence and enhancing the gameday atmosphere. The project was funded through the Adidas / Game One partnership, which required thoughtful integration of partner branding while keeping the overall design cohesive and SJU-forward.
My Role:
Creative Director · Graphic Designer · Project Manager In-house, CSB+SJU Athletics — 2023–2024
I led this project from concept through completed installation as a largely one-person creative team. My responsibilities spanned the full scope: design strategy, photo sourcing and curation, custom vinyl and signage design, vendor coordination, and installation logistics in collaboration with the SJU Facilities team. I worked closely with the Athletic Director throughout to ensure the final result matched his vision — and pushed it further.
